Can you do stunts on a mountain bike?

I just got a Giant Upland (se) a couple of months back, and unfortunately since got a sudden urge to get into stunting (so far I've just been practicing mono and endos.)
Is trials and such only really possible on a specialized bike? Mine is quite heavy I must admit...
