Should I get a Dahon folding or mountain bike?

I am on a budget of about 0. I want a bike for exercising on a paved trail about 4-6 miles that I will ride (hopefully) 3 times a week. I am limited on space and would prefer to have a folding (due to convenience) but could accomodate a regular sized bike. Should I buy a used 0 foldable Dahon or invest that in a mountain (or other) bike?

  1. The Dahon is a great bike and at that price you need to snatch it up before someone else does.

The nice thing about a Dahon is if eventually you want to combine car and bike commuting you could because you can throw it in the trunk and go. Plus, if you ever do a Europe trip then you can easily lug that on all the trains and stuff in the EU.
