Is Giant Halfway a good folder to buy?

Has anyone had experience with one of these bikes?
http://nycewheels.com/giant-halfway-folding-bike.html
I read a few reviews on google and I was debating on buying it.
I'm a college student and I kind of wanted a bike to ride to school just to get a bit of daily exercise... but the thing is... bikes get stolen a lot at the university...even when they're chained to bike racks... and if the bike's not stolen.. people tend to steal bike parts.. >_>
So I thought it would be nice to have a bike that could compact into a size that I could carry into class or something... but what worries me is exactly how "compact" these things get and whether it's awkward to carry around. Also, how long does it take to fold down one of these bikes?
I went to the local bike store in my area and they have a "Giant Halfway" folding bike for about 0 when normally it would be 0. That was the only brand of folding bikes they had. Any personal advice/reviews on the bikes? Thanks!

Well I own a halfway.. Its a cool little town bike. I wouldn't do any long rides on it. but they are well made.
But there's always a but. If I had a choice. I would buy a Dahon. They should be able to order these at your local shop… But then again my giant has been in use for a few years… still works great
Just buy a cheapie used bike for like $50 and a $10 lock. Even if 5 of them are stolen, you'll still be alright. Check craigslist for older road bikes in your area and pick one up. While nothing is really stopping a bike thief from stealing your bike in the daytime, it's far less likely to be stolen as long as you don't leave it chained outside at night.
I just can't imagine most of those folding bikes being too comfortable.
