How to stay fresh and commute to work by bicycle?

I'd like to ride my bike to work, but my building doesn't have shower or change facilities and I have to dress professionally. I am wondering how I can bike to work, get dressed and not look rumpled or like I need another shower. It's about 6 miles to work from my home.

I ride about the same distance to work on a road bike. Wear proper cycling gear (it dries out fast) carry usual clothes in a small rucksack. I ride a roadbike at a swift speed but I use the last mile or so to warm down. (as you know, its when you stop that you start to sweat!) Keep some nice smelly spray at work along with some wipes. Keep it up!
My co-workers compromise.. They take the bus to work (the buses in my city allows passengers to bring bicycles on-board), then ride the bike home at the end of the day.
That way, they can be in professional attire without being sweaty or rumpled.
Hope this helps a little.
Take lots of deodorant, body spray, cleansing cloths, and facial cleansers to work. I don’t know what your job is, but if you have somewhere where you can store this stuff and maybe even your work cloths, then this would work. Other than that, I really don’t know. I ride bikes and know it can be a sweaty workout.
Drop your clothes to work ahead of time (weekend) Have a bag at work – to ‘freshin’ up in the bathroom – wash face off spray on whatever and your good to go =)
You can towel off once you are there…use a little rubbing alcohol on the towel and it will remove the sweat residue and any odors…
see if there is a gym near work, if not then use diaper wipes or rubbing alchol to freshen up after getting to work. If work has a employee locker or closet then drive on Fridays with change of clothes for the next week or stop by over the weekend to replenish the clothes for the following week.
Depending on what kind of bike you have search for panier bags or kiddie buggie/carts that attach this can also provide room for change of clothes.
Then make sure that there is a secure location for locking up the bike while at work and if you have kids near where I work you might need bike tire pump, or inner tube with patch kits.
good luck and enjoy the ride.
