Are folding bikes sturdy enough for general use?
Im looking for a bike and saw that they offer bikes that fold up. I like that a lot considering it will be much easier to put in my car. But at the same time Im afraid it wont be sturdy. Im looking at a 16" Folding Bike w/Suspension BLACK.Any advice would be nice! And I dont know the brand of it. It doesnt say.

Well in general I like folding bikes and haven’t found them to be crappy. But I’m skeptical with the suspension? There is one good brand/style I’ve seen that makes a folding suspension mountain bike that is pretty good, but they go for about $1,000 and have full size wheels.
In general with bikes cheap means CHEAP and CRAPPY so if this thing isn’t at least $300 new probably forget it (And just because the price is $300 doesn’t mean it is actually any good).
Given the information provided I’d skip it. For street riding you don’t need a suspension anyway, and for off road riding 16" wheels are too small to be any good.
Folding bikes are more pratical for commutters that need a folding bike to take on the train. Most bikes will fit into a car if you remove the front wheel. If you want a bike to enjoy on bike paths for exercise and losing weight a folding bike is not for you. They do make good folding bikes but they are expensive.
